Navy was a dominant color for a good reason. The groomsmen were all Coast Guards. A striking scene with the groomsmen in navy blue uniforms, and the bridesmaids in navy blue dresses and yellow shoes. What a lucky couple to have a grandmother to make all the beautiful white flowered centerpieces and if that wasn’t enough she made all of the guests napkins, but wait there’s more, yet another piece- she’s making a quilt from all of those napkins for Brittany and Dustin to keep forever. A very thoughtful touch for sure. The guests enjoyed food by 12 Bones, and cake by Gail Cooper. Christian Weaver made sure to keep the music going. Ray’s Florist provided the beautiful flowers, and Kayla Hunsader provided the couple with photographs to remember there big day forever! Our best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Dustin Williams. We know you will happily snuggle under the new quilt for many years.

Nothing But Praise!

Praise music echoed around the gazebo during the ceremony, with cheers and clapping celebrating the new family. Pure joy and fun was the center of Ashton and Trevor’s reception. Riding in the back of Trevor’s truck were their bikes, which were used as their getaway vehicle. All of the instagram photographs that went out were delightful and fun. The guests enjoyed the flowers by Kellie Ward, and Sound Explosion kept the music going. Lori Hensley captured the photographs for the two to remember their big day forever. Mr. and Mrs. Trevor Bayne, we wish our best to you both, and congratulations on your “week of W’s”- Wedding and Win! We will certainly be watching NASCAR with more interest now.

Good Sports

Krista and Kevin were such good sports. Outdoor weddings are sometimes surprising and this day was no exception. With partial rain the Bride chose to have the wedding inside. The Farm staff was ready for her decision and had everything in place. Self a Ray’s Florist provided beautiful flowers for their day to remember, along with Magda’s Cakes providing the guest with a stunning cake. Harrison’s Dining and Catering provided a wonderful meal for the guests, and Kevin Parker kept the music going. Special thanks to April Sneed to the photography for these special two to remember this day forever. Best wishes to the new Mr. and Mrs. Mathis.

Sparkling Cafe Lights

Navy and pink graced the tables while sparkling cafe lights lit the reception for Kate and Kevin’s day to remember. Stacy from Bloom Room did an absolutely stunning job! The evening ceremony was chronicled by Pat Roberson and Social Function kept the music and dancing going. We also loved the socks and mustaches. Thanks to Colorful Palate everyone enjoyed a delicious meal served from the porch. Our best wishes to the new Mr. and Mrs. Currin.

Blue Sky Overhead

Jolica and Rich chose cream and sky blue as their colors which reflected the beautiful blue sky overhead. Sweet Promises provided the cake, as guests enjoyed 12 Bones, BBQ, and entertainment by A Brides DJ. Bren photography made sure the happy couple would remember their beautiful day forever. Mowing before the wedding

My husband wasn’t home 5 minutes and he was off to mow the pasture. ThisNorth Dakotafarm boy is still in his element riding on a tractor, he loves dentistry but there’s something inside of him that thrives on the thrill of the tractor hummm… Today was the first sunny day all week , so with weddings all weekend we are trying to ‘make hay while the sun shines” ! so to speak. Well in our case “cut grass while the sun shines” before we get hit with another cloudburst.

Lupe, our event center manager spent all day mowing. We decided driving this mower is like playing video games so everyone on the staff wants mower time. I thought you would like to see how we spend some of our time getting ready for your special day and how important it is to us to have everything perfect so you can have the best day ever.!!!!

Rain Drops on Roses

The song “Rain Drops on Roses” has special meaning for Darby and Cory! Mother Nature certainly blessed their special day. They happily went right along with her, what a great couple! There were smiles all evening as everyone enjoyed music by Dave and BBQ from Moe’s and a variety of wonderful cupcakes and other deserts artfully displayed in front of the fireplace, to compliment the stunning bride. I just have to mention the adorable bridesmaid dresses the Bride found on “Etsy”. Each dress has a label with the bridesmaid’s name- one of a kind! Worn with cowgirl boots, it was just plain stunning. The rain just couldn’t stop this happy couple.

Every Storm Runs Out of Rain

With rain all day Terri and Joe were all set for their wedding to take place under the tent and the sun came out at the last minute. The plans quickly took another turn to the gazebo, which we happily helped happen. A few drops came down near the end of the ceremony, but that didn’t even phase these two love birds. Everyone enjoyed the décor and planning by Shay Brown, food by Blacked Eyed Susan’s, music by Sound Extreme, and flowers done by florist, Flora.

Tears of Joy

This last weekend I was with some of my friends of which one is getting ready for her daughters wedding in Australia. She and her sister went to a yearly city wide yard sale in Damascus, Virginia and found a large number of ladies hankies for a great price .Of course that meant they just “had” to shop for a clever way to show off those adorable hankies . They are going to use them at the wedding with a little note …For your tears of joy!!! Clever ladies, I thought I would pass it on if you seem to get the “Wedding sniffles” too !!!!

Our First 10 Years and looking forward

10 Years, it doesn’t seem possible, but it’s true non-the-less. What changes have happened over that time period. We had a lady who had been here in our early years, and now that her daughter is ready to get married they have booked her wedding here. Mom said she couldn’t believe how we had changed how pretty it was and how much we had added to the property.

She is right.We have added on to every building that was originally on the property, added 2 cabins and 3 cottages, and this year alone we have built 4 buildings. The horse barn with stalls for all the horses to be inside, the chicken coup better known as The Chicken Chapel aka Chapel of the Feathered Flock, and 2 much needed storage buildings. Lets not forget the newly planted herb gardens, Along with all that a brand new sign and newly landscaped stone entrances. Over all I would say it’s been a busy 10 years.

Thank you to all who have trusted us with your most important event in your life. We have enjoyed the wild ride and plan to continue to impress you with even more additions in the coming years. With our Farm to Table ideas and gardens we are looking forward to 10 more busy years.
